shearing

when i play simcity 4, i get this really bad shearing sort-of effect:

is it a problem with my GFX card, or is it a setting i can easily change?

    okay, i went dxdiag, display, chip type, and it said SiS 760 Rev 00

    i don't know how to check it, so if you could tell me if that is wrong i'll get the right one

    Check the Sis site for later drivers.  If you have any advanced options like anti-aliasing, set them to application selected.  SC4 doesn't understand advanced chip sets.

    Geez, thats real messed up. maybe you need to update the graphics card.

    Update the graphics card drivers and switch off some option in the video card settings. When I installed SC4 in this PC I had a similar problem when laying down zones, and it turned out to be the anti-alias (or anysotropic filtering, something like that) causing all that.
