No.  Cities are impossible.  They are too large and the chances of having to down load dependencies is infinite.

    Do you mean regions?

right now there isnt anywhere you can download city plots that have been built on, but if you want the terrain you can download maps on the STEX

No. Cities are impossible. They are too large and the chances of having to down load dependencies is infinite.quote>

    Honestly, impossible?

someone could distribute built-up regions of immense sizes via bittorent, and it could be hosted on a normal website using DHT(trackerless torrents). I think torrentspy takes these kind

Plugins are an issue, distributing them with the cities is the most realistic option. However that brings up the issue of should these files be distributed without the permission of their creators. We know now that any maxis files can be distributed freely after getting a letter from them, but It would be nearly impossible to get everyone on the STEX to be cool with it or even just respond. However, it might be possible to talk notables or teams like the BSC into going ahead with the idea. And with datpacker, the plugins folder could be neat and tidy and compressed on arrival.

Personally Its an idea ive always wanted to try because though I would not want my personal cities distributed, something like this would enable us to make all sorts of "scenario" type cities and contests.

    o.0

You could download unmodified cities I guess... but good luck finding somebody on this site who hasn't got any Plugin's

I like HamsterTK's idea of Scenario Contests, that would be awesome... maybe when we all have 12 Gigabyte internet connection, eh... lol
