Real world roads v. SC4 Roads (New Ideas)

Something that has always irked me is the lack of variety of road types in SC4. Personally, I use Avenues to stand in for a state highway type of road. I use the main highways to act as Interstate main Arteries. But what about a more local avenue?

Another thing i would like to see is a three-lane road (example....) [Left hand by accident =) ]

Or how about realistic highway ramps...in which roads have the ability to merge into a highway...(Similarly to state and local highways)  (example..)
