Hello! I have searched the forums rather thouroughly for any topics reguarding libraries and unrelenting demands for books. I found none, so here is my post.

I decided to build a city on an island in a region woth no other cities in it, the current population is hovering nicely around 70-80,000 with excellent demands in all three categories of zones R.C. and I. I have two problems.

    1. concerning my libraries... I cannot quench the thirst of books for this city, I placed all libraries adequatelly throughout the life of the city wich is at about 450yrs. now. But after placing a few plugins pertaining to education in the city, the numbers seem to go all haywire, so I bulldozed all the "plugin edjumacation" buildings to see if it would help. It did not. I am now currently supporting 6 tiny maxis "libs" and a modded main "lib." none of them, no matter how many I place will sustain the cities need for books. The smaller libs are holding at a need for 40,000 books or so and the main library reports a need for (gimme a sec, I gotta get this number  exact as it made me "lawl" loudly.) 1,780,082 books. What on SC4 flat-earth could be causing this?

2.I have the NAM, I use 2x capacity and thats it, I swear. As this particular city has grown the commute time has dwindled! Some folks might see this as a godsend, but I like the challenge of getting sims where they need to go quickly. This challenge is not there anymore.

In the early stages of its growth, commute was @ or around 50-60 between the population levels of 10-20,000, as the city has grown the commute ytime has steadily dropped to the now around 40-50 commute time at a population of 70,000.

    Any Idears?

(EDIT) I found out the problem with the libraries, I had the "residential average age simulator on, I took it out, now copasetic.
Still have probs with commute times not showing correctly though 15.gif But I am most sure I have ONLY 2x capacity from NAM.

Yes, happens to me waaaaaaay to often. You're not alone, though may I recommend placing the opera house and then using toroa's opera house mod. SUpposedly it has a fix that a certain mod clashes with,. It can be found in the mods section, hope it helps.
