Industrial Zone Ideas

Hi everybody.  I am new to these forums, and I must say it's really cool to see such an awesome site.  I had no idea that Sim City 4 was this customizeable when I purchased it.  Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions on industrial areas.

I am starting a new region.  I used Google Earth to look at more industrial areas of other cities, but am having trouble incorporating it into my city.  I don't want to use nothing but the "grid" design for industry.

Any suggestions?  Should I do a few areas of medium industry, and then perhaps put some heavy industry a few miles away?  I am open to design ideas that aren't as stoic as a simple industrial grid.

The best place to start is the ST Omnibus for a introductory look

Then I suggest you find somewhere with good broadband and go through all the CJs here at the site and get an idea how mayors like myself have set up industrial areas in relation to the game as everyone one of us plays differently
