Crashes to desktop.

I have Sim City 4 Deluxe, and the following mods:

BSC (??)

Deadwoods onroad Subway

NAM

Ionic Infusor

Extra Cheats DLL

One of them is causing my game to crash to the desktop-- why? I have no idea what version Sim City is, I don't think I've updated it. Could this be the problem?

Have any of those plugins got known issues with crashing?

To properly run he game you need Update 1 from the simicy.com site.  To properly run night time textures for BATted lots you need the BAT update that is in the BAT download page near the end on Simcity.com.

If these updates do not solve your problem, please add another message to this thread giving your machine configuration and the size of your plugin folder.

I get a crash to desktop when using a few nam pieces. When tring to add on/off ramps to my sunken highway sometimes while using road puzzel pieces to add overpass on the sunken highway. any ideas?

This question deserves its own thread, and there are many like it. 

Have you carefully read the section in the NAM documentation on puzzle pieces?  You should note that this part of the NAM is beta test.  The reason it is a beta release is that it can crash to the desktop if you drag a puzzle piece over any transit enabled lot, including any part of the road network or a station.

When working with puzzle pieces, I use zoom level 5 to work in a very small area, and I save whenever I need to change the view.  Ctrl+S produces a nice quick save, and you can then continue by picking up your piece again for continuation.

Recently I was able to lay a GLR system along side a diagonal road that went over half the size of the tile I was in.  I consider this to be a bit of a feat.

So, keep working, and save often.
