Having jut upgraded and splashed out on a Widescreen monitor, I was issapointed to find there is no 1440 x 900 resolution to choose. Is there a patch or mod that allows this?

Thanks!

You can manually set the resolution by setting the properties on a SC4 shoutcut. Add "-f r1440x900" to the end of the shortcut path and you should be fine.

I also have this problem and need 1680 x 1050. What did you mean by add to the shortcut?

Edit: I did a little searching on the forums and found this. Copy it into the Target with the quote marks.

"C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -CustomResolution:enabled -r1680x1050

May I ask what size widescreen monitors you all are using? I'm thinking about getting a 22 or 24-inch widescreen monitor, but I'm afraid SC4 won't be compatible. Thanks

You should start a new thread on this.  I don't think it matters what you get, but be careful.  There is a bug such that if you render a map at a resolution higher than 1024 x 768, you get funny lines on your snapshots in the region view.
