I heard about this. Frankly, Paris Hilton isn't what everyone wants to make her out to be. In other words, I'm not really interested in news about her.

I tend to agree. I never understood the media frenzy over her, she has done nothing of consequence other than her infamous "tape," and if you haven't seen it, she didn't even do a lot there, either...

She's only famous because she's rich and made the news when she inherited her fortune. The media was all over her and she just ate it up...and so did they. It's a symbiotic relationship between her and the entertainment media: she's nobody and nothing special, and when the media has a slow day with nothing special, they join forces and hey, the media has its "news" and Paris has her name in the papers or on the tube. I do have to love the comment she made though, I think it was for Austria. She did a promotional commercial for them. When asked what she really thought of Austria she said "I love the country! They pay me a million dollars to wave and say "Come visit Austria". What's not to love?" She has a point.

I do find it funny, though, that here in the D.C. area, if someone does something really stupid or acts like an airhead, someone might say "That was a real Paris move!" Or "She pulled a real Paris the other day at lunch". Being called Paris or acting like Paris is a put-down of the highest order. Someone will get shot for saying it one of these days soon. Inevitable in D.C.

oh, I almost replied without reading the first post! phew, I was going to say "No don't go to Paris!" Well anyhow, yeah Paris Hilton is also all over the ent. media in Norway too, a bunch of magazines write about her each day, it is a mazing what they come up with, or perhaps that they can write so much bull and not have anything informative to say...

She always looks like shes on drugs or something. If i recall properly when her first *** tape was released she said she didn't care and says that its natural and bla bla bla now shes not happy with her stuff being released... Honestly I don't know a single person who gives a damn about her.
