Missing Textures

So, I've been playing the game, and all of a sudden, I'm missing a bunch of my textures. All the original buildings seem to be missing their parking lots, parked cars, trash cans, and so on. The houses are missing swing sets, fences and driveways, the office towers are missing sidewalk litter, and the fire and police stations are missing their parking lots.

I have installed some stuff off of the STEX recently, and I'm trying to figure out which if any of them could be causing the problem by deleting certain plugins, but its a long process and has shown no results so far.

Does anyone know of a quick and easy solution to this? It's really aggravating.

On an unrelated note, some of the things I've pulled off of the STEX, like the NDEX's Windspear Arena, for example, I cannot rename in the Query. If I do rename them, the name reverts the next time the game is loaded. Others, such as Simgoober's Simtropolis Train Station, keep their new name. Why does that happen?

EDIT: Let me add: I'm using SC4 Deluxe, am running an Intel Core Duo with 512MB of RAM, have an NVidia Quattro graphics card, and I have all the Maxis updates that I know of (the BAT update, bldg_props1 and 2, and the latest patches).

Well, uninstalling and reinstalling the game seems to have fixed the problem.  Strange...

Does anyone know the answer to my other question? Why do some downloaded buildings revert to their original names while others do not? Can this be changed?

Did you do an update from Simcity.com?  This always resets your graphics to low.  Try setting them back to high.

Failing that, could something have stepped on your files?  You may have to do a reinstall.
