Region Bitmap is wrong

when i try to download a region, after i right click and click save picture as, i have to put .jpg or .bmp at the end for sc4 to recognize it. then i try to download it from the file and it says region generation error, region bitmap size is 0x0 should be 1025x1025. i know how to do the config on microsoft paint, but this is a REGION error. i would really apreciate help.

It sounds as if you're changing the file extension of the greyscale image.

Most of them are either jpg or png (Don't change the file extension, or else sc probably won't recongnize it)

but when i dont put .jpg, sc4 dosnt recognize it at all. and it appears as an internet explorer page in the folder off of sc4

by region bitmap do you speak of the greyscale image or the config.bmp ?

greyscale image should be saved using the 'save picture as'

config.bmp should be downloaded by left clicking on the config.bmp link

can you also put the link to the STEX map you're trying to download, it may contains errors
