railroad cannot make a smooth 90 degree like roads?

I was suprised to find out that you cant make the railroad turn a corner like the roads can.  You have to go straight or at an angle.  Are there any railroad packs for download that addresses these and other frustrating things with the railroad?

I found out you can make the 90 degree turn, but it takes moving the mouse just right, and it takes up a bigger turn than a road.

Yes, I saw something in the exchange where you could make single track railroads.  Sorry I dont have a link for you.

There is no functional single-rail railroads, only eyecandy ones.

as for 90 degree turns, it is only possible with GLR, a ground level elevated rail!

The game doesm not allow it because in real life Railways are unable to make a sharp turn.

dittio on ILL Tonsko's post...you can't make a 90 degree turn with rail like a road because TRAINS can't make 90 degree sharp turns, have you ever seen one in real life? most are gradually long curves.

The 90 degree turn by the rail in the game is a section of straight, a section of angle then a section of straight at 90 to the first straight. Takes up 3x3 (sort of - some parts on the edge can be used.)
