I think High-Tech should always be $$$. Stupid people can't get high tech ;D

So yeah, wealthy = educated = high-tech.

    "So yeah, wealthy = educated = high-tech."

Now it makes sense why you cannot have high tech with poor people. Another rule:

    wealthy+educated+WATERED=hightech.

    Thanks guys!

HT is NOT composed solely of R$$$ workers! The majority is R$$ with a low percentage of R$ and R$$$. Someone recently broke it down as 10%, 80% and 10%. I don't know if it's quite that drastic, but it's not that far off.

however, HT loves the same areas as R$$$! so, if you cant attract and retain R$$$ sims, you wont attract and retain HT industry either

    "wealthy+educated+WATERED=hightech."

    A correction:

    Good convenience(parks and extras)+educated+good security+energy+water=Hight Tech

one good way to get a lot of high tech and less dirty is tax the heck out of dirty and manufacturing jobs; i like 20% for dirty and 15% for manufacturing, and only tax the High Tech 2 or 3 %.

This also drives up the demand for comercial buildings, which look a whole lot better than dirty industry as well...
