Frustrating crash

I experienced a strange crash tonight. I began a city and got a good two hours into building it and decided I wanted to have some sims move in. So like any good mayor I hit the play button. 

CRASH TO DESKTOP! ... @%#$%$*(@!%!!!

Like a bad mayor I forgot to hit the save button. Very frustrating, everything I plopped, my roads, my whole city ... gone. So I began to dive into what the issue could be. My first clue was that it only happened when I hit play. So I figured it had to be a mod. (That's logical right?  To be on the safe side I reinstalled the game and patches (bldgprop_vol2, update1 and the bat update). After doing this I began loading one mod at a time and to really test things I ran the tutorials in Timbuktu.

Resolution = remove from menu mod

That's what killed me. Maybe that and something else combined, but for whatever reason it was causing the crash. Everything is ok now. I can run remove landmarks, ahven't tried the others yet.

Thought I would let everyone know
