Several bugs that I need help with please

Okay, first of all, let me say that I am VERY, very bad with computers and will need to be answered in the simplest terms possible. With that out of the way, i have a few problems. 

#1: None of my hundreds of downloaded buildings from STEX have night lighting even though I have the latest patches from simcity4.com. How to fix this? I love playing at night but can't stand the visual bug.

#2: My GLR/El trains don't show up on the tracks anymore. I have all the graphics settings as high as possible, and everything else shows up. It happened whe I accidentally d/l'd a japenese train set and decided I hated it and tried to delete it from my plugin folder. I did this and d/l'd FrogFace's Amtrak set. It ended up mixing with the Japenese trains that I deleted!!!  So I deleted that and all the GLR/ El trains stopped appearing even with stations and tracks with 2000+ trains travelling on them. I have downloaded other train sets from STEX, but they either don't show up at all, or mix with the deleted Japanese cars. I do not know how to fix this or the name of the japanese trains to do a full system search for them to delete them They were a large, green, boxy kind at that "himagine" site. Please help, I love light rail.

#3: I have attempted to download trolcas RH train mod many times. It never works ad I am sure it is in the right file. 100% sure. All I do is delete the stuff I don't want (passenger trains) after I extract it. Any help? I hate maxis freight trains

#1: there is a patch from www.simcity.com u have to have to see BAT nightlights. its near the bottom of the page in the downloads section i believe. i'll post a link asap.

#2: i'm not sure how to address this cause i dont have any trian skins on mine. many ppl do however, so this should be addressed quick quickly.

#3: same as above ^^

are u running SC4 vanilla or do u have the expansion pack? this might help address the trains problem. (vanilla being a plain install of SC4 w/o expansion set.)

glad to help. as far as the trains problem, give it a day or two and u will get some suggestions on what to do about that. i'm sorry i couldnt help on it. goodluck!

OK, you have somehow messed up your plugins.  The best way to handle this is to move the entire contents of the plugins folder to a temporary folder, probably on your desktop.

Start putting them back, one by one as you are sure you have them identified.  Don't put in anything you don't understand.

Whatever is left is the cause of your problem.

A quick fix would be to remove all the entries in your plugins folder that have a date on or later than the Japanese "accidental" download.  This might be easier, since you can sort the folder in date order.

EDIT:  You should avail ourself of an easy guide to the operating system.  Take a look at the Teach Yourself Visually books by Maran Graphics (IDG).  You really need to know how to manipulate and maintain the file system.  It will make your computer life much happier.
