Great Southern Land --- Eye Candy

Hi All,

Well I have just uploaded some pixs to Imageshack & will try to get them to show

1st off, I have been playing Simcity from the start ver 1, it was on my Amiga many moons ago

A bit about the Region, it is called Great Southern Land, it only has one city for now called Kangaroo Point.

Now what mods do in use, well a lot, Peg stuff, BSC, Jeronij, DEDWD, CSX, Nam, Simgoober, NDEX, & a lot more...... as well as some of my  stuff.....

As for money well I do use cheats to get it, as I want to make a good Eye Candy city...

this will be Candy pixs, & has I done have the time do do say to much, as Iam a Truck driver & work long hours, & only get to play when Iam not working...

now let try to get the pix to show ????      Ok   it seems to be working, as I can see them.....

This is Kangaroo Point's Fun area, Thank's Peg could not have done it with out your lots....

Thanks - I like the construction pics too. It takes extra effort and really looks more realistic. Looking at how good the crosswalk tiles look, I figure I better get on over to STEX and get me some.

Thank's, I live in a suburb only 50k from Sydney, if you go out my door you will see cows across the road, it like living in the country,

we only have one set of traffic lights & the 'ONE' line railway has a level crossing,  the rail ends 3 stations away at Richmond, at the bottom of the Blue Mountains, that why I like the green look

Yep lot of work in the construction areas, but I like doing it, I see lots in reallife being a truck driver as for removing them later on, well they will stay, some highway take many years to finish....

Thank's, I been playing Simcity for ages & always played it the right way   but after seeing all the bats for it & other great CJ, I just had to change my way of play

playing it for realism is like playing a new game, great fun spending hours just getting a park right

Thank's, that construction areas were a killer to get the way I wanted, I download a lot of construction lots, but I still had to make &/or mod some anyway...

as for the crosswalk, what can I say, that PEG again

marrast footway look great but were missing some lots, so I had to make some addon for them, one being the underroad one

Now for what seems like everyone hates, Garbage, well we do make it, I see a lot of wastes tips &  TransferStation as I go to them everday, one I goto does use trains

to send the waste to Bathurst for recycling, it goes in the old mines to make gas...  as for Bathurst it has that great Bathurst 100 car race everyear in oct.

Your design is spectacular, and also quite unusual. I like the sparce parks, carefully spread roads and the many paths that form their own little network. Very interesting little town.

Very nice CJ.    I rally like the way the town is layed out.   The walled community is really kool.   Here in the states, it would surround a golf course.    Hmmm, a "footy" pitch , eh?    I can't really see it that well in the pic:

Are those McDonald's signs near the corners?   And what kinda goal posts are those?

     I will look forward to more great stuff here in the near future.   And here in the states (back in the eighties [edit: okay it may have been in the late seventies.  My memory isn't so good anymore] when CB radios were all the rage) I'd tell ya to "keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down.   We'll catch ya on the flip flop good buddy."

Wow nice construction pictures! Those construction props are simply so realistic Gee I wanna try to make a construction picture next time. Anyways, the wooden roller coaster looks very nice amongst all the parks and PEG's pond and streams. The suburbs are spacious and filled with greenery, which is very eye-pleasing

The industrial areas look dirty but in real life that's the way it looks like The railyard looks very nice indeed! Keep up the good work, and I will check back often

nice update. good job on creating a realistic waste management center. it mucst have been easy if you see these all the time.

in your last update you had those new bridges. i have those bridges in my plugins but can't get them to work, would mind tellibng me how to do that? thanks in advnance.

EDIT: i have a tip for you, when looking over your pictures again i noticesd you had the grid on, so before you take your pictures press the "G" key so they go away and it improves the look a whole lot.

Hi Gaston,  in Sydney we have lots of community housing with walls, they look great, Qld has some with golf courses

It was the 70s remember movie Convoy, I was in to the CB thing, it too was a great way to pass the time befor computers
