Transparency?

Sometime in 2007, I'm going to attempt the Apple Store in NY. It's a big glass cube. Is transparency possible in BATs? If it isn't, it will look like a SC3K ice cube!

It depends on what you mean by transparency. You can make windows transparent in the BAT, so that it will show whatever is behind it, but you can't make parts of the BAT transparent so that whatever is behind the BAT will show up (with out fancy modding anyway).

It is possible to make glass structures truly transparent, but as Jasoncw pointed out, it requires some "fancy modding". It's not that complicated when you're familiar with the Reader, but depending on the size of your BAT, it might be a huge task, since every S3D file has to be edited individually.

Meh, at the rate I'm going, it can be hijacked by a better BATter. Thanks anyways. It will be a marvel of a BAT if it gets done, though!
