Seeking Invisible Streets and Power

Please forgive me if this ground has been covered (and give me a link to find it).  I think many people would like to place isolated homes in forested or open areas and be able to connect roads and power to them without the splotch on the landscape that streets/roads/power lines create.  You know what I mean?  From the bird's-eye view that we get in SC4, it'd be nice to have some pretty houses in the midst of woods, without any big street and power equipment in view.  Dirt roads are a bit better, but they still are really too much for the eye, compared to gravel/dirt driveways, common in rural U.S.  and the hard angles of the game streets are no good for such a setting.  Best to have no road/street/drive at all.

I'd try this if I could BAT: Create a "street" using some grass/tree texture/props, making them blend well into a default Maxis forest.  Maybe we could plop similar trees as well, to blend best.  Same sort of thing for power?  In the end, we could go from a house connected to street and power to, seemingly, sitting in a pristine woods.

Does this resonate with others?  Anybody out there working on something like this, or interested in doing so?  Let me know.

    Regards,

    D
