Lotting The Regent Mall

Hey guys! (and girls!)

I have been part od Simtropolis for what seems like an eternity (A good one...)but, I feel so guilty that I havent contributed to STEX.  Plus, I cant find anything on there from my city, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.  So I have decided to make a lot version of my city's biggest mall, The Regent Mall.

Now this is my first ever attempt at STEX lot quality so I might start over and over to finally be happy with it.  Also something you should know is that LE crashes every 5 minutes so I might lose a lot of work but luckily it saves quickly and I do that after every big step.

I have made a couple of pictures of what I have done so far.  I just started this afternoon when I got home from school and then after 24 crashes, (Yes it actually did crash 24 times, not exaggerating) I gave up in frusteration for the night.  I'll be at it again tomorrow though.

When this is done I do NOT expect it to be like those crappy lots that have like 2 or 3 skyscrapers mishapedly dragged onto a lot with a cement texture that functions as an airport and spews radiation around your city.  I want to be good quality like my 2 favourite lots,  jtportland's Lloyd Center Mall (where I got my inspiration, Thanks jtportland!!!!) and vlakhaas' Downtown Athletic Club.  So dont say "Oh hes just making a waste-of-space lot thread thats either gonna be cancelled or completly booed off the ST forums".  If you do, then Im sorry you feel that way, and I will most likely ignore those little snobby comments.  But please, hang in there and understand that Im doing all I can becuase my compuer hates me and wont let me install BAT or GMAX.  So lotting is all I can do.

So here are my pictures so far:

My first one here is what I stared with.  First I estimated the lengths of the initial area that the mall and parking lot took up and created the lot to that size.  Then I estimated the lengths and widths of the walls of the mall.  I have put the malls outline in concrete:

My second and third pictures here just shows the basic parking lot space.  Dont worry, theres a lot more parking than that.  Ive only begun.  3.gif  Im thinking of changing the parking lots into sc4jeeks'  Shopping Center Parking Textures Pack 3 instead of the ones there now.  So heres some added parking lots:

More Parking Lots added:

I hope you guys like this idea and I couldnt really find a good forum section to put this in.  So if this is in the wrong one, could a moderator please move this to the correct one?  Thanks.  1.gif

Thanks for lookin at this, and Feedback is very aprecciated!

    Thanks alot everyone 4.gif
