pollution in my city is bad, and I have been told to place a lot of tree. when i do this, my pollution doesnt go down very much, and the trees eventually disappear. is there a better way to do this (like a plopable tree/park with the same effect as a grouping of regular trees)?

Hello,

There are other ways to reduce pollution. If you have Radical Ordinance Version 2, enable the 'Clean Air/Water' ordinance.

If you wish, you can increase taxes against Dirty and Manufacturing industry.

It's not just the trees that can help.

Indeed! There are a couple of parks on the STEX that take a big bite out of pollution. You can also make your own with the Lot Editor and edit the pollution stats in LEProp, but this isn't a good place to go into that.

Anyway, here's an URL that will take you to a couple of pollution killer parks:

    https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?page=1&Keyword=villavicencio&view=all

You'll be looking for "Park of the Four Lake", a large (I'm thinking 5x5) fancy high-wealth park and "Park Forest Depolueur" which is, I think, 3x3 and is low-wealth.

As for planting the trees around dirty industrial, I highly recommend doing the following:

Press ctrl-shift-alt all at the same time, then click the God Mode button. This will take you back to the same menu you used before starting your city and plant trees from there. Yes, everything has a way of wiping out trees, and just smearing all around the industrial with the trees will help a lot.

If you don't want any pollution in your city, then don't put any sims in there.....they are just like humans, polluting everything they can put hands on.

But this I highly recommend also:

... The very first sentence of that download says it's listed in the parks menu. ._. And if it's not there then you may have accidentally messed up while installing.

Magistr.....lol......an error a lot of newbies do is NOT to read the instructions or the readme file. Welcome to Simtropolis.

If you still can't find the file, make sure that you have put it into the MyDocuments/Simcity4/plugin folder.

    Enjoy your stay.

I use plobable mayormode trees, from Cycledogg, you can search for him on the STEX, and then its actually free for some reason, full grown, non-dissapearing trees. make a few tiles of forest around youre industrial zones to not reduce it so much as keep it from spreading to zones that actually care.

    Yes, there are few possibilities:
raise taxes against Dirty and manufacturing,
Search on STEX for less`polluters plants, or downloada the radixcal ordinance, enable them
