Do not understand two cheat codes

I do not understand what the cheat codes "fightthepower" and "howdryiam" do. I enter them in the cheat box, hit Return and find nothing changed. I know what they are supposed to do, but I find no difference. Please help.

You don't need power or water for your city from that point onwards

That is wrong cause The advisor still complains about water and power.

When I used it I get what are you th prince of darkness or are you useing all the water for your swimming pool.

So I don't understand those 2 cheats either. I understand what they are suppose to do.

Just because the advisors complain, it doesn't mean that you still need power or water.

What i would like to know about this in particular is: by using the cheats and thus negating the requirements for power and water, does this effect the buildings and levels you can get to in the game. Although not required, does the insistance of the power/water requirements make the game disallow the higher level buildings and rewards etc etc?

If not cool. If so, it would be nice to know.....

no....game plays the same as if you had enough power and water to fill the city...the advisor complains cuz he watches the cities output ...which is 0...even though 0 is required
