Well, I have something new to show you.  It is the Argenis Town Centre shopping center, located about 15 miles from Downtown Halston on IH-37 (runs north-northeast from DT) in the suburb of Argenis (pronounced ar-HAY-nis).  It has two anchor stores:  Nordstrom and Macy's (formerly Hecht's).  This shopping center is my take on some of these new shopping centers made to look like small downtowns (example: Southlake Town Square in Southlake, Texas).  In addition, the City of Argenis has their city hall just north (below) the roundabout, and there are some apartments on the left (east) side of the center, near the large parking garage:

I hope you enjoyed this mini-update; I'll see you back here soon.

I remember this one from way back when. Great roadgeekiness throughout, as well as a good eye to modern urban planning. I know what you're saying about shopping centers that look like small towns - there were a number when I lived in Florida years back and one in Pittsburgh when I went there over the summer (ironic that Pittsburgh has one, as they have a number of real downtown areas!)

Definitely consider dropping by SC4D - it's more of an experienced SC4 enthusiast forum and your focus on realism would fit in well with the other MDs there.

Well, I haven't done anything to this region in over a year -- so may I ask that a moderator lock this thread? I actually prefer to use the RHW now instead of one-way roads for freeways, and may bring this region back upon release of wider RHWs (such as the RHW-10). Or if Cities XL pans out good, I could also bring back the Halston region to some extent. But for now, don't hope for anything involving this region.

    Thanks,
