B91 and B90 res./comm. prop mod.dat files..etc.

Hi!

I have a question, Does anyone have this file Plugin_B91_Commercialbuildings_Prop_Mod.dat ?

A lot I have downloaded needs it and unfortunately the creator cannot fix this because the files were deleted in a system crash. I went looking around before posting this and found this old thread but unfortunately the links don't work anymore and they had mentioned other files that I'm sure some ppl need even now.

    They are:

1. Plugin_B90_residentialbuildings_prop_modd.dat

2. Plugin_B91_commercialbuildings_prop_modd.dat

3. Plugin_A80_PlugModd_functional.dat

4. Plugin_020_PlopLandmarks.dat

               and (there might be others)

Plugin_RCI_Buildings_Prop_Modd.dat

I and I'm sure many others would greatly appreciate it if 'anyone' knew where to get these files from.  It would be even better if the ppl. who still had these files could maybe team up and create a zip file (upload to Stex) thats specifically made for these types of files.

I apologize if this has already been done and would be very happy if you pointed me to it.

Plugin_B91_commercialbuildings_prop_modd.dat was an old file created long ago, before maxis released the buildings as prop files on the official website, you should not need this plugin if you have the buildings as props files from the official site

greyveil, it seems like the game needs that file anyways, because the lot I made doesn't show up completely, missing a Maxis building and after a search with the PM , it told me that the only dependency is the Plugin_B91_commercialbuildings_prop_modd.dat.

Kinda hard to understand myself, but that's how I see it.

That will happen if the lot is made with the Plugin in place. These Plugins are very old and outdated and should be removed before making any lots. All the buildings do appear in LE with the two Maxis bldg_props files in place providing the old Plugins named above are removed. I did this with a lot from the STEX that was missing a building and worked out from the image which building it was.

This lot was made by myself (Nexis) many years ago and longtime before any other prop files etc were available. We must not forget that I was one of the first Lotmakers around and created more than 100 lots that way and I used what was available at that time. It is a shame though because I don't have the time ni the patience to redo them all and besides these lots are outdated and I am not sure if anyone wants them anymore, with all these beautiful and useful BATs around these days.

Well , one looses some but gains better other ones. That's the way it is and always will be. The game has come a long way.

CuriousRiz, unless you find that file somewhere, I suppose that you have to do without that lot. Sorry about that.....and thanks for explaining that correctly, BarbyW.

Isn't there anyway to replace the old with the new? If there is, maybe you could tell me how and I will 'try' to do it myself. And be specific because I have no idea what I'll be doing, assuming that replacing them is possible.

  Isn't it pretty!!

Note: For a moment I did see a building like this but at the time my comp. was on the fritz because of over-heating (hate summer) and the game froze on me and I never saw the pretty building again.      So if the original building is in the game maybe there's a way to fix this.

(Am I being pushy? Sorry if I am. I just love this building so much!)

You're right BarbyW, the bldgs on each side are the Chicago Ritzy, but the overpass bldg is what? I cannot remember.

I think it is called *Nexis Overpass hotel*. I have a very slow connection (44K) so it is a pain in the arm to search for it.....lol. I also don't have on my comp anymore since my last crash and never downloaded after. Maybe I should download all my lots and put them on a CD.

The other building is the Kenner Dinner Theatrre. Myabe you should get SC4Tool and look at the database of Maxis buildings. That's how I found it.
