Hi.

I ain't new to simtropolis nor simcity, but its just that i never post =P hehe

First of all, i figured something's wrong with some of my cities.
If I create a new city, then after few high density buildings, the residential demand drops almost completely. No matter how much jobs i provide, it doesnt go back up. My older cities don't seem to have this problem, but all the new ones have this problem. What s wrong?

Claerly you havent been around for long (Joking 3.gif)

Its called demand caps, they inhibite the growth of red comm and ind in your city and by making rewards+parks= a good way to relieve the demand caps for residential

Do you have municipal water, fire stations, and police stations?  How about schools and hospitals?  All of these contribute to Sims satisfaction.

Possibly all your jobs are being filled by out of town workers? Are the taxes in the neighboring cities lower, or are the neighbors otherwise more attractive to residential? This, of course, is assuming you have neighbor connections. Often as a new city develops, the workers will come in (or go out) from the neighbors. This is why you may notice this phenomenon more in newer cities. Make sure you have enough commercial and/or industrial jobs to keep you residential demand positive. And don't tax out the lower wealth...especially in newer cities. They're gonna provide the bulk of the workers, so keep the city somewhat hospitable to them.
