    hey,

i don't really know were to put this thread, but i've been filtering through the exchange every now and then i get the most horrific downloads to scroll across my line of sight. i don't know what to do but post a comment and laugh. if anyone has any pictures of some lots that were uploaded onto the exchange in a serious matter, i'd love to see them. this isn't really to laugh at peoples work, it's more a warning to other people new to batting or lot editing to make them aware of how their work should look or shouldn't look before then upload. heh...and mabey a laugh or two for those who have trouble holding back.

You see, the poeple who upload really bad stuff -and without preview pics and decent descriptions at that- don't do so because there's no way for them to know better. They do so because they don't read and use their brain. There is tons of information in the forums and in the Omnibus, and it takes but a look at a good-rated download to see how a good presentation is done. These people fail to see such things because they lack diligence and patience. This is why they would never take notice of such a thread before they upload. They have successfully ignored the better stuff that was on the STEX right before their upload, so why would they bother digging up your thread from the forums?

Besides, I don't like that "look at the dunce" attitude you are exhibiting here. If you don't like how certain uploads are done and presented, you'd do better taking your time and writing a tutorial on how it's done than asking others to post links to badly made content for the giggles.

Or just give constructive criticism by means of STEX comments and tell them what you don't like and what should be done better. That's what the STEX comments are for.

Lets avoid pointing the finger at other people's creations. As T Wrecks mentioned there are more friendly and constructive approaches. For example you could point people to the modding school in his signature or the other helpful articles on the site, or even offer to help them out via pm.

Constructive comments on the STEX are welcome, but please keep them friendly and helpful. If you see something that really shouldn't be there or breaks the rules, please pm a STEX moderator rather than posting a comment, so the problem can be rectified more quickly.
