El Train skin problem

I installed a new video card and prior to that i had not played the game for a while. So i am not sure how long this was a problem. I used to run the pittsburgh T (trolley) skins for my trians and I think i might have added another skin... I can't remember  In any case. My El trains look like this now and i don't know how to fix it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

What happens if you move the trolly mod(s) to your desktop out of the plugins folder?  Do you still get technicolour trains?

hey,

     i'm gettin' the same trolly and his technicoloured dreamcoat. i think the problem derives in the trolly mod. cuz my mod is in my plug=ins

Did you try moving the trolley mod out to the desktop?  I use a temp folder.

I moved all my glr stuff and everything that looked like a skin and i believe that i now have the default subway train. I guess i'll have to add it back little by little until i figure out whats wrong

amc1222:  Yup.  While you are testing, remember to ignore any brown boxes.  If you have a large number of plugins you can try doing a binary search.  Put back half of them.  If there are no problems, put back half of the remaineder, etc.  For 1,000 plugins, a binary search should hit the problem in about 8 iterations.

Well it looks like you had installed the BSC SFBT GLR Tram Mod.

First, try just reinstall the T, without any other plug-ins (of the ones you removed).

EDIT: Did you have the BSC_SFBT_glr_light_rail_no_el-train_automata.dat installed ? (Just a wild guess). Not sure how it works, if it works on just the default el-train or also on custom trains.

I did have a folder with that tram mod. I guess it had skins too? SO i cant have that and the PGH Trolley skins at the same time right?

Edit:

I redownloaded the PGH trolley from the STEX and the automata folder is empty. should it be?

Well there might be a conflict between them.

Just had a look at the zip file. It seems I did not placed the dat in any speciel folder.

Did you have the BSC_SFBT_glr_light_rail_no_el-train_automata.dat file installed ? I think you can install the other files in that mod.

no i dont have that DAT file. I got the BART ELtrain/trolley skins to work. But it just seems like the zip is missing a file. i know i had this working so maybe i have it somewhere.

Pgh is short for Pittsburgh

Well as I stated in the readme: Only one el-train installed at the same time. Which zip file ? The BART ?

It's a bit hard to help with that little information. You had / have both the BART and the T installed at the same time ?

I had got the understanding that you called the trolley the T !?!

I had both. I took them all out and when i put the pittsburgh trolley skins in only, it still didnt work. I still had technicolored el-trains. So i took the files out and put the Andreas BART files in and it worked. I don't know why my other one is not working. Thats why i redownloaded it. the the redownloaded file still didnt fix the problem with the PGH skin.

Erm I also have a el train related problem. I downloaded one of the el train mods from hiroden's site and then later deleted it. It still shows up in my normal trains. I also have lost the ability to UDI El trains. I DO have the NAM. Sorry, I just didn't want to start another thread when this one was right here.

You'll probably have to relay your rail system.  Bulldoze it, and put it back with the game in pause.
