Pic what you like.. Many ppl have tried to explain to you that you can pick and chose what you like of what is offered.. the NAM offers a very wide array of options. .you will have to read the docs and pick exactly what you think you need. You can always change it if you wish later.. it is easily modified as long as you don't change your cities.. load one of your options, start up SC4 and let it run about 6 months game time.. If you aren't happy DO NOT SAVE THE CITY.. exit without save and PUT IN ANOTHER VERSION and do the same.. When you find the one that makes you happy, go with it and stick with it.. 4.gif. If you are concerned BACK UP YOUR REGIONS folder in MYDOCS/SC4 folder first and you can always recopy it to your folder if you "mess up"

You seem rather stubborn in your semantics. Everyone is entitled to be wrong including you 4.gif It is absolutely a semantic issue, not a moral one.

IF as you say "who cares?" why do you keep getting in this little tete'a tete in so many threads? lol

Heh, okay, I guess there's no such thing as cheating in Solitaire, either.

But I certainly agree that it's not a moral issue. Cheating in single-player games is perfectly acceptable.

You know, I think we're just in violent agreement. The only thing that we're arguing about is the definition of "cheating". You're saying it's impossible to cheat in single-player games. I'm saying you can cheat but it doesn't matter.

I figure that a cheat is something that would get you kicked out of a multi-player game, assuming the other players weren't also using the "cheat". If you used 10x commute in a multi-player game, you'd get banned pretty quick. Hacks to multi-player games are usually frowned upon. Hence, I consider it a cheat.

Its silly to speculate on what other players using different mods on the single player game think! LOL You must have great conversations with yourself wondering about what the people not in on the "conversation" think about what your conversation is 4.gif

SC4 is a user defined "game" without objectives... those objectives are set by you, not some rule set.. therefore it isn't even related to your speculation about "rules defined" games.. Now if you define an objective and a rule set, you could violate those.. perhaps that is a "cheat" if you like that word.. to me its sort of meaningless in an absence of rules and objectives. Certainly MAXIS didn't define a "rule set". In fact it is VERY CLEAR that they defined an environment with EXTREME FLEXIBILITY in its use. And it meets those open-ended needs quite well.. whether you use user-defined add-ons or Maxis "cheats".. I mean they weren't put there by accident. Or did you think they accidentally left Cntl-X in when they released the game?.. I find the whole issue rather amusing.. and certainly not a basis for saying someone is a "cheater" IF I am defining my objectives and rules, how could I possibly cheat? lol Now, if I start out with one objective and later on evolve that objective to add/eliminate elements of my "game" did I cheat? all pretty silly to me

Now if you and I agree to an objective and we enter into a "game" among us, then I could "cheat" .. otherwise no.
