Trouble with Downloading

Hi everyone.  I'm new here, and I was downloading some buildings and such from STEX.  I followed the instructions, placing the model, desc, and lot files in My Documents/SimCity4/Plugins folder, and I don't see anything while playing SC4.  What am I doing wrong?  It's probably something simple, but like I said, I'm new here.  Sorry if I'm restating someone elses post.  Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Simtropolis! Lance, first what version of simcity 4 do you have (alot of the downloads require rushhour or deluxe) which download did you install? (some downloads are growable only, and will not show up in your menus)

Welcome, Cameroncrazie13. This is very simple, but a common error...did you unzip the files before placing them in the plug-in folder? The game won't read them unles they're unzipped with WinZip, Win RAR, or whatever tool you use.
