Large Plugin Folder isthis OK?

As far as I know, the number of files in the plugins folder is not limited. When starting the game, everything will be loaded, not necessarily the data itself, but I'm sure that the game will create an internal database with all IDs. Once you open a city, it will look what IDs are stored there, and what buildings, props, textures etc. need to be displayed. These will be loaded depending on the current rotation and zoom level, starting from the center of the screen towards the edges. If you change the zoom level or rotation, the process will be repeated, until everything is displayed again.

I am not very technical with SC, but I know some people have MASSIVE plugin folders. Some guy had a 9 gb folder of plugins. I don't think you need to worry much.

I am not sure there is a limit, but the larger your plugin folder is, the slower the game can be.

I've close to 4 gig in my plugin - it can take a half hour to load up a city. OF course, I only play large city tiles, so this does slow me down, but still.

however, when my plugins folder is empty, I can fire up the game and be playing in five minutes.

Huge difference.
