help with canals and sidewalks

hi. i'm kinda new to the forum. i say kinda because i haveb een reading it for quite some time but i have never really joined until now.

anyways my question is this:

i have a canal in my city and i have the europen sidewalks beside it (looks nice),

the problem i am having is getting them to face in the right direction( for corners especially). i have been using roads to keep them facing the right way, then deleting the roads and placing the next tile. now comes the sidewalks....

i want to place a corner piece to the european sidewalk but cant get it to face properly without putting a road. but when i do that i have to delete a section of the canal. and then i cant get the canal to face the right way without getting the sidewalk to look right again.

sorry for the log post but this was fristrating me so much. i know you people can help me. you are all pros (i have seen your stuff)

If you want to rotate a lot before placing it, use the Home and End Keys to rotate it. Hope this answers your question.
