Hello everyone,

Sometime in July I'm going to be going to a camp called (as the subject states) National Computer Camp. It sounds really cool, and I'm hoping to expand my geekiness there by learning some new programming languages and website design. I wanted to know if any of you guys are going or have gone to this camp, and of course what I should expect, and if you liked it. Secondly, since my computer will be residing there most of the time while the camp's taking place, I won't be able to get on to ST as much as usual. I will see if they will let me talk to you all during my free time though. Oh, and the website for the camp is http://www.nccamp.com/

Sounds cool!  No, I haven't been to a computer camp before (really wanted to, but didn't happen).  The closet thing I'll ever come to it will be an internship at Intel during the summers of my college years.29.gif

I wouldn't like going to camp during the summer. The idea of going with your friends to meet people you know nothing about seems a bit weird to me. I know the whole point is to meet new people, but the idea just doesn't really make me wanna go. However, when I'm at university I would LOVE to do Camp America and go over and be one of those people in the yellow shirts and brown hats. 3.gif

Thats cool!! I wish I could go there.

This summer I get to go to a camp where you get to build and program a robot! It is at my school and it is a 4 week camp.

EDIT: My camp is nothing compared to yours. 8.gif

    Gingerblokey: Naff?

The boy formerly known as Evil Muzz: Um, no, that's not the point acually. At least, that's not why I'm going. None of my friends will be there anyway.

hym: Working at Intel sounds pretty good to me. What did you do there?

fire_bird: I dunno, it sounds pretty good.

Sounds like fun.  Good place to start your network (personal network, that is).  Have a good time, and don't become a hacker.

@Bookworm:  I haven't made it to Intel yet.  I'm still in high school.  When I get into college, I'll probably try to get one that is affiliated with Intel.  That will give me a leg up on getting a job there as they will already know about me and will have begun the process of training me to work there as an Integrated Circuit Engineer (basically I'll be designing the guts of CPU's).

N_O_Body: Muahahahaha... just kidding. No, I don't think I'll become a hacker. Being one of those people whose job it is is to find security holes in operating systems and such sounds kind of cool though.

hym: Sounds good to me... what colleges are associated with it?
