I thought this was interesting. This shows who, where, and how many searches made for something on the web. I decided to search look up Simtropolis and this is what I found. Enjoy.

I remember the first thing I ever typed into Google Trends was "George Bush" and "American Idol". Guess which one was the winner. Especially relevent considering more people voted for American Idol than any presidential election in history.

It's always interesting if you find a search that has serious fluctuations - such as the Bush and American Idol one.

notice how sim city spikes up during the holiday season 3.gif

And the reason why American Idol does those drops is..(if you look at the news Articles to the graph) that they ended a season...so it will become ignored...then come back up again once the show is on again...

Well, it didn't surprise me that it was only Europe and North America with the most people looking up Simtropolis online.

Software developer. University of Houston. CBRE.

It surprises me to see that Sweden is so high up on the list. But I guess we swedes always 'search after websites instead of just guessing the adress. I can't say that I've contributed to the statistics, I always guess  3.gif

Wrong, actually.  More people voted for all the American Idol candidates than for the winning candidate in a Presidential Election.  Approximately 63,000,000 voted in the American Idol finals, and President Bush recieved somewhere around 59,000,000 votes in the 2004 election.  Senator Kerry definatly got more than 4,000,000 votes.

mambomumba: lol, same here.
