hey simcity lovers i'm an average player and i usually get even the three to five story buildings but on my new regions they don't seem to wanna pop up.   I have all the education buildings fully funded and the large hospital fully funded police and fire.  all types of zones.    and demand is through the roof on the RCI indicator.   I've tried to figure the problem out myself but no luck.  I'm thinking it might be one of the mods or the BAT's or prop packs.         Lastly i have an already worked region that this doesn't happen in. It's only the new one's I have started  population on both is 10K  but in my past experience I have gotten at least one highrise early.

    any help would be great

    Hi there

May I release another question instead? 4.gif I`d like to have more demand on $$$residential, but don't no how to increase it. the education bar is fullfilled (IQ ~130) and and the health bar also. I built parks and set the taxes to 6,0% for $$$. my city has a ppl round about 110.000. Do I need more Industrial zones. do I have not enough jobs in $$$commercial? but whats first - $$$commercial and then residential demand follows , or the other way around? the demand on $ and $$ R is up to the top.

    thanks for respond

Jobs will always demand workers, so an increase in jobs means an increase demand for residents, and visa versa. Similarly, an increase in residents will demand more work, so in this case demand for jobs will increase. Certain residents demand different amounts of different work. R$ are more likely to demand ID than C$, but they still want both. R$$ is where the moneys at, since they raise demand for practically everything: IM, Cs$$, Cs$$$, Co$$, Co$$$ (it should be noted that jobs can also increase demand for other jobs; the more industry you have in your city, the more the industry will demand commerce to sell thier goods. In this way, you can have nothing but dirty and manufacturing, but still have a tasty demand for high-wealth commercial w/o high-wealth residents).

I'd say if your demand for $ and $$ residential is at the top, you need to let them into the city; high wealth residents cannot run a city on thier own; there are just some jobs that are, in thier opinion, beneith them. This is where the lower classes come into play. Encouraging balanced development encoruages a stable economy and stable development. Raise your R$$$ taxes up, because they are already probobply over developed, but dont raise it too much, as you dont want rampant dillapodation. Just raise it enough so that the demand levels out at around zero. If its already near zero, oh well, you still need to clear some room for R$ and R$$. Whatever mansions or whatever abandon, clear them, and let R$ and R$$ take over. THey will demand jobs in other sectors which fuel demand for other residents and buisnesses, and soon you'll be getting R$$$ demand without needing to resort to low taxes and over-development.
