christhebull: Thames currently has 2 airports capable of handling international traffic, but im sure as air travel becomes increasingly important new airports will have to be built 2.gif

bokrif: no problems about the english, at least you can speak it unlike the kids of today with their txt sp33k 18.gif
    anyway
the overhead wires are from my latest mod, just do a search for frogface on the STEX. I did add the cables for an early version of the mod but it would not work on slopes and it would be too much work for different junctions 20.gif
I cant remember who the big housing projects are made by, but they are growables. I just controlled their growth by zoning 3x3 of residential.

MayorTim: thanks for popping in here 29.gif

    brentford:thanks for the comment 44.gif

Now these next few updates will be a tour 10.gif

I really like Axminster! Where did you get the Queen Street Station? I would like to find a home for it in one of my cities. And where did you get the cathedral? It looks great too.

Oh a train ride, I can't wait to see where else this leads. Will we get to see some of Thames's countryside, or perhaps cross under the English Channel?

    gggg: thanks 5.gif
knarfmo:The cathedral is one of BSC's creations made by Caliban. as for Queen st it was originally meant to be part of the NDEX mod but since that has died I will try to get it released sometime soon 2.gif
Nardo69: sorry, im afraid these modern sprinters dont have dining cars. you can have some lukewarm coffee from the trolley service onboard instead 18.gif
    SHADD0W09:thanks a lot 29.gif
sharkbait16: The Severn coast is not very urbanized so plenty of countryside! too far North for the channel though 38.gif

we carry on with our journey
this will be the last update for a while im afraid as i'll be away on holiday for a couple weeks
    so until then, enjoy 2.gif

    Awesome work, ff!

I love your idea of converting older buildings into museums to have the museum to represent whatever history the city may have had. And, nice transportation networks! 19.gif

I'm back and so the Cj continues 19.gifthanks for all the replies

aleking: thanks for your comment 19.gif
DragonAnime: around here a lot of older buildings are turned into small local museums which is where I got the idea from 2.gif
katie2007: thanks, it did take a while to get looking decent 46.gif
fgottes: as a person who finds it hard to post long comments thanks for your massive reply 9.gif
here is your reqest: Thames Today
it HAS changed a lot since the old days, mainly as iv'e found better looking Bats to put in 9.gif than anything else
    ThamesToday1.jpg
I would agree with Pro-THAMES, the motorway network, it is promoting sprawl and there are definately worries in the country that eventually there will be one gigantic sprawl belt from Thames to Mainsborough. The land inbetween has been designated greenbelt but this does not prevent developments.
The useless M2 is also regularly slammed in the local media and the M10 in Thames widely hated.
Thankfully however the two major ones proposed have been turned down. Severn county has rejected their motorway (as there is already a good mainline electrified railway in place with half hourly trains to mainsborough in place) and the south coast motorway also rejected.
And the M4 extension is being looked at more carefully as it will go through the mountainous regions.
Mainsborough have also taken steps to improve transport by developing a new metro system! as well as improving the already extensive commuter network.
Thames has done this to a certain extent with Crosscity but it is more restructering services than a real effort.
    MMetro4.jpg
sadly the pro motorway policies of the Thames government are still there with the M2 nearing completion 27.gif

Gen:not really confusing... but then again I made it 18.gif
    jacqulina: thanks a lot 44.gif
jarnomiedema: thanks, it does have the british feel but I do try to add a little of Thamesian culture, Britian is also well worth visiting 2.gif although living here may be another matter 9.gif

OMG, what a diverse picture that is, there is so much going on in that photo! Very well done. Love the trains as always! One qeustion though 9you dont have to answer), but there are alot of references to my part of the world, that ive noticed you mention and use in your cj, is this just a fondness of a certain region of the UK. Or do you live soemwhere close too it?3.gif

been lurking for awhile and just wanted to say what a great train / rail system you have even if the pro thames group doesnt think so. 2.gif5.gif18.gif i really like how areas have developed overtime, which you dont see very often as most sandbox players try and get the scene right first time. well i hope the lobbyists dont win coz i want to see some more expansion and i cant wait 10 days let alone 10 years 47.gif2.gif

Thanks for all the quick comments 44.gif

6underground: I presume you mean Wales, well I live far away but I am quarter Welsh and I think it is a great place 2.gif and the language 9.gif
    jacqulina: thanks for commenting 19.gif
DragonAnime: thanks, someone did actually mention about the borders earlier 3.gif but the students do need somewhere to get their textbooks from, right? 3.gif
kaji: thanks for posting 44.gifThe region has continually developed and is still developing and I like it that way as it means I never run out of things to do updates on. About the expansion of the motorway it is a divided issue, some regional authorities are keen to have new motorways such as the West Counties, while others like Severn are anti-motorway 20.gif
however the rail system is continuing to expand 19.gif

now.. Back to our tour 10.gif

Thanx Froggy. 31.gif one of my favs, Centre Point still stands in Thames. The new layout looks much better. City hall fits even pretty well, even if it is a brutalist modern structure.   The northwest side of the city is much improved with the replacement that black highrise with the AMV building.  The north cathedral is a definite improvement over the American landmarks.  Too bad the M10 has created a great divide in the heart of the city, a grand boulevard could provide auto-connection with a much more urbane atmosphere.

Pro-THAMES (Pro Trains - Halt Auto and Motorway ExpansionS) is sad too learn about the Government

Really great update. I thought that the city view was awesome. But I am confused, isn't frogface the one who updates the CJ?? Anyways, great job.

Oh man, I really love that Granthasthom, beautiful little city.  But the real question is where do you come up with such crazy names like that???  Also, those Underground maps are great.
