Hey everybody! Due to positive response from other Mapp Squad members, I've decided to open a thread to see how YOU use Mapp Squad maps when you play SC4! I'll have my pics up later tonight, but I invite all of you who've downloaded Mapp Squad maps and have built on them to show us what YOU use our maps for.

Have fun, and I'll be checking in constantly to see all the great examples of city building performed on our maps!

RHF, Mapp Squad PR Guy.

Alright, considering that nobody has replied yet...I'll start it off. The region here is Breeze Point Harbor, by comdude21, and I'll be showing the only city I've built there so far, Hardington.

Here's the city so far. Only 1,200 people live here, but it's growing, so that figure won't last long.
    hardingtondec50111127342484px.jpg

Main Street is where all the shops, the school, and the clinic are located. It's a staple of plenty of farming towns, and I wanted to make it a staple of mine.
    hardingtondec310111127343302fh.jpg

The northern farming area is the smaller of the 2. Flowers and corn are among the crops produced there.
    hardingtonjan60211127343810cs.jpg

The southern farming area is the larger area. Crops include peanuts, wheat, corn, and tulips.
    hardingtonjan30211127343586aj.jpg

And that's Hardington! I'll some pics of other development on a different map after. Please, if you've developed on a Mapp Squad map, post your pics and show us what YOU can do with our maps!

It looks very nice! Great job. Although I am busy with my CJ and making maps, I'll find the time to post development pictures of my maps as well once I can get around to developing them.

I should have some more pics of other Mapp Squad regions I've worked with once I come back from my trip. I'll be gone until Friday night, at which time I'll provide you with some shots of my work on airmale007's region Kingsport. Thanks for your support, can't wait to see what the rest of you have done with our maps!

Looks nice, RHF, but I suggest you resize those pics. 800x600 is the max. 2.gif

Alright, here's some more pics of work I have done on Mapp Squad regions! The following pics are from MallowTheCloud's region Southland Gorge.

Here's the first city made in Southland Gorge, Southland Shores. southlandgorge11130999780bu.png

    Here's a closer-up view of Southland Shores, a pleasant farming community, population 2562. southlandshoresjun100411131001.png

The Southland Gorge Agricultural Offices handle all the applications for and business aspects of farming areas. There are almost 1100 agricultural jobs in Southland Gorge, so this is always a busy building! southlandshoresjun100411131002.png

Downtown Southland Shores is befitting of a small town, especially one that is growing. Many of the town's 570 commercial workers commute here every morning for their middle-class money. southlandshoresjun100411131003.png

One of my favorite areas in Southland Shores, a nice middle-class residential areas, close to commercial jobs and right beside a large corn farm. Nothing like it, eh? southlandshoresjun100411131004.png

The local United church. The more religious Sims in Southland Shores visit here every Sunday to become closer to God. southlandshoresjun100411131002.png

And, to close out the set, a picture of a typical Southland Shores homestead. This one happens to be a lime farm. southlandshoresjun100411131003.png

I hope you liked these latest pictures, please comment and show us what you can do with our maps!

BB: Yeah, but how many tiny farming towns do you see with giant coal power plants?

Anyways, here's a region shot of Southland Gorge.

You can see there's been a lot of new development, please comment and post what you've done with Mapp Squad terrains!

It's like a mini CJ with Mapp Squad maps only everyone can join in! Gee, I wishI could be a Mapp Squad member...I'm no good at BAT or Modding. Oh well. Must start making good maps in future.

Well, if you can prove to us that you're a good mapmaker and can reliably make maps for the Mapp Squad, I think TNS may let you join.

RHF, you're development on both of those regions looks awesome. I think I'm going to get started on developing my Palmetto Islands region, to see what I can do on it.

I've got a couple new introductory pictures, nothing special, but pretty cool nonetheless. These pics are from Turner Point, in the region of Southland Gorge. In fact, Turner Point was the new city on the left in the region pic.

This is downtown Turner Point. Typical farming town downtown, nothing special here. The town's 1000 commercial jobs are centered here.
    turnerpointjun11211131478982sk.jpg

One of my favorite areas in Turner Point, a seaside series of houses that are mostly middle-class.
    turnerpointjun151211131479357l.jpg

Another one of my favorite areas, some houses near both farms and offices.
    turnerpointjun221211131479591r.jpg

And, to close out the set, an overview of Turner Point, featuring views of farmland, picturesque housing, and commercial areas. There are 1290 farming jobs in Turner Point, and the population is 7340.
    turnerpointmay91211131478348zo.jpg

And that's all for now. I'll have some more pics up later. Hopefully soon enough I won't be the only one with pics in this thread...

Nothing special here, just a region shot. Population of the region is now 20,643.

Please, if you have any development AT ALL on Mapp Squad terrains, PLEASE post it. I know I'm begging here, but am I the only member of ST who has built on our maps?

Thought I'd add to your collection here by uploading something I'm making using the Koyuk, AK map from here.  Its quite small so far but its a work in progress.  The region is called Phobia and so far I have three towns: Conformity, Catharsis, and Perception.

Great job developing Koyuk! I really like your development on the coastline there. Excellent work.

I'll release some pictures of how I'm working on Redhawk River pretty soon. I think it's my best map, so I'm going to do a lot of work on it. 10.gif

Your development on Koyuk looks excellent! Thanks so much for reviving this thread! I'll get some pictures of my also-unfinished Koyuk development up soon.

I built(and I'm still workin' on it) up a metropolis on it, but look at the region view:

Now now. No need for that attitude! Ok, so new Simtropolitians may have to adjust to some of the rules and have to learn to search first, but there is no need for us to constantly get mad at them for one mistake, even if it does annoy the occassional member. Ok...I think that's my mini-rant over.

    As for the cities:

RHF: Good as always! I hope this keeps up!

kristinaswan: I like! If you are new to the game, it's even better! That is probably better than my New Ford region from one of my many failed CJ's! I hope to see it develop!

madawac: That is a stunning metropolis there! Wish that was mine! You're making me jeallous! Not only is it a great metropolis, but to me, it is even sort of aesthetically pleasing! Keep it up!

    That's all!
