Ok every once in a while my city will not save. Well every 1 out of 20 times it won't save. I will click any of the save buttons  (save, save and exit to region, or save and exit) but sometimes it won't save. It will act like it is saving but once in a while it just won't! The busy light will go on for a minute but then it will go away. Just like that. I will sit there for over 15 minutes and it will just sit there. And then there is no way to turn off/restart the computer other than pressing the main power button which messes up the whole system when you turn it back on. Does anyone have any help??? I really need it.

Ok other question, I was wondering what does it do when you update from www.simcity.com? I have downloaded a lot of modds and plugins so I was wondering, what does it do when I update the game? Will it work without deleting all my plugins? So other words what does it *actually* do???

If anyone could anwer any of these questions please reply. I could use it.

Now that depends on just which update you are asking about.  Update 1 fixes a lot of bugs in RH/Deluxe by patching the game and several of the files.  It does not affect any plugins, except, perhaps, to make them work correctly.

The update on the BAT download page is the one for night lights.

Incidently, both of these fixes reset your graphics to low.  You'll have to put them back to the setting you normally use.

Saving problems seem to happen occasionally.  One of the best things to do is make sure the game is quiescent, then save manually using CTRL+S.  You can quiesce the game by putting it in pause and waiting until things stop moving.

If you want to leave the city or game after a save, do an exit without save either to region or from the game.

It is iffy to save the game when there is a lot of stuff going on.

See thats what I have been doing lately, clicking on the ctrl and s and it has been working fine but today it did it again. Well come to think of it I think everytime I have been saving it, it has been in the LIVE mode...... I'll try pauseing it then saving.

If anyone else has any suggestions I would apprecitated it.
