After installing Rush Hour, I've experienced some wierd building textures screwed up. A picture is provided. I did not install any patches for Simcity 4, I just installed SimCity 4 then Rush Hour Expansion. I do not have any mods installed either, just all the original files.sfsdffsdff.jpg

Wow. That is some crazy Hospital. I suggest a complete re-install of both SC4 and Rush Hour in your case, and see if that cures anything. Something may have gone awry during the installation and your computer didn't "notice" or didn't "tell you". So just try again as a first starter. If that fails, it would help diagnose your problem if you gave us some of your computer's specs, ie: CPU, RAM, Video card, operating system specs like type of OS and page file size... Good luck.

When I tried to update it said, "old file not found, however a file of the same name was found, no update done since file contents do not match ." It even does this for the manual install. Any suggestions?

Sounds like incompatible SKU's.  There are five (5) versions of the game depending on your locale.  If the SC4 locale doesn't match the RH locale or the update locale, you get these funny results.

You can find the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) of the SC4 disk in a directory on the disk.  The RH disk contains a set of patches for the SKU that matches it (by name), and when you do the update you must choose the right one from the help system.
