Hey, I was wondering if there is a mod available (I couldnt find one under downloads) or in development that would automatically adjust funding for school/hospitals/power plants at the local level.

I dont generally like cheats, but this would save tons of time going from school to school checking funding levels.

If you know anything, please let me know!

Thanks

-Chris

I wouldn't call it lazy...some people dont' like the huge amount of micro-management that SC4 has. And I don't think he wants to use the money park...he said he didn't like cheats.

But there is no mod like that, I'm pretty sure of that. I think it would be good if the game included an option to do that, as it would the game much more enjoyable for many people, while still allowing people like me to control every little thing in the city.

Welcome, Chris. I can relate, especially with big cities, because it can be very time consuming. An alternative I use might also work for you so you can spend less time with the constant opening and closing. Go to the STEX and find a shool, hospital, power plant, whatever that has a larger than usual capacity and, if you want to cheat a bit, has been modded to require less funding. You can put these down, set the funding high enough to cover your growth and needs for awhile without destroying your budget, and let them alone until you have a need to increase them due to growth. One set schools I use are the citywide elementary (K -8)school and high school (9 - 12). (I think that's what they're called.) You can literally get away with using one of each. They have a ridiculously high capacity and are pretty cheap to run. There are similar hospitals and power plants out there too that you can find. Search the STEX for schoos, power plants, whatever, and you'll find something to work with. I don't know if this will solve your problems, but if you're just trying to stay away from the constant jumping back and forth between schools, etc, this will make your like much easier.

Again, welcome to Simtropolis. You'll like it here.
