Does anyone know (of course some knows) how to create transportation mass mods, like subway skins, u-drive-it compatible, stations, glr skins, trains, and much more. you know, like .dat files?

Wow that is a lot of things you want to know.

First off you are looking in the wrong forums. Have a look in the Custom Content forums.

Second off: Looking in the thread: Train Mods in the Modding - Open Discussion.

Here I have collected Trolca's words on automata skinning in a post dated: 11/11/2005.

    You need the following tools:

    iLive Reader

    FiSHMAN

    a photoeditor/graphic program.

I personnaly use PhotoShop, but you could use gimp.

Maybe also a 3d-program that can save in 3ds. I use MilkShape, others again use Blender and some use BAT (but it doesn't have a direct export to 3ds.)
