GLR/ tram is it good?

Is a tram good transportaion in a downtown?  Also how can i get it?  Thanks in advance.

Frankly, I prefer subways. They save space and do not require ground-level tracks. Also your subways network can be freeform designed, not affected by your road network layout.

But this is a matter of preference.

Speeds are the same, not sure about capacities.

To get trams you need the NAM (Network Addon Mod), check the Mods and Downloads Section.

For Station and tram models search on the STEX for GLR.

I've tried using the GLR but you have to very careful as it is affected by a bug that will drop you out of the game. That can be really frustrating so since I use the Cousin Vinne cheat I would rather use the subway also.

I love the tram. It adds a lot of visual variety to cities. Once you learn a few tricks you won't have many crashes. The main thing to avoid crashes is to move slowly and try not to move pices over each other.

As quartets I love the tram-network.

The rules:

Don't hover the glr puzzle piece over any transit enable lot, here amongst you find GLR-stations.

This WILL cource the game to crash.

To avoid this I do it in the following order:

Place the tracks leaving room for the stations. Mostly from 2-4 free tiles.

The place the stations.

Drag EL-tracks through the station to make the go through them.
