In my city, as soon as I reached 350,000, My education for the WHOLE city dropped to Low. Before, everything was High, all the educational buildings have enough spaces for extra people. I have all sorts of education systems. They are all funded well as well. My city is INCONCEIVABLY populated and SO DAMN CROWDED. What could possibly be the problem? Nothign works to fix it...

Can you post a picture of your city's education overlay, education chart and education budget? That might help us figure out what is happening.

Possible reasons:

- a lot of new sims may have moved in to the city. New sims start as uneducated so this will drag down your education average. This may have occured due to sudden city growth, mass abandonment, delapidation of higher wealth buildings or death of many aged sims

- funding slider bug

- new mod or building in the city

- the level of education buildings you have in your city may not be appropriate for your city's age structure - eg no point in using colleges if all your sims are very young.

You say nothing works to fix it, can you tell us what you have tried so far, and what you have already looked at for the problem?

Also some information on the precise kind of education buildings you are using in the city and your populations wealth and age distribution as well as any new plugins you have started using.

You might find helpful to build more schools in your city, keeping in mind of the coverage. Librarys help to, and you you build five of them, you get a main library, which increases the effectiveness.

without a little more info...we would be just guessing as to the problem...and there could be several that could cause this... regional population and demand...more different type schools or educational buildings...budgets issues aka slider bar problemwitrh a badly modded lot...or even just the placement of a reward with a high cap relief and you were sitting just below it and as soon as you placed it BAM!...they all move it out of nowhwere

going by that your not saying your having any red alerts about education or budget slider problems...I would go with the influx of large amount of low wealth sims....happens to me all the time when I start zoning for big population after the 250K mark in a city...city will be hummin along nicely... high education (almost 200|) and then  all of a sudden the poor sims (about as smart as an ox) move into town ,they drive up the population and  they drop the EQ average for the city, depending how many move in , will determine the drop ( I ussually get a drop of 60-100 pts on the graph with a short growth period to 500K). this can mess up the demand graphs and have a city stagnet for a number of years...til you educate the new sims in your town...if you do have a proper educational system set up...just wait 12-20 years and keep an eye on the educational graph yea it just takes time...if it starts to rise slowly (and at high population the graph moves like a sloth upwards and a jack rabbit downwards) then you just experience the problems of going BIGTIME with your city

now hopefully this is your problem and you can get around it ....if not...just reply back and we might try other soloutions

To be more descriptive, I didn't have any new sims moving in. As soon as I placed the Art Museum or the Opera House, my education went B00M low. I got rid of those two, and it went back fine after I saved the city and went back in. It SEEMS like those two are the problems... I know it has nothing to do with coverage or people moving in. In addition, I'm talking about SCHOOL GRADE, not EDUCATION itself. It's very weird...

torraco's oprea house fix...I recomend it

    https://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?p=details&id=339

there were issue with the Opera house use when it was over capasity...might be the problem as this happened pretty close to it placement and you have a high population.

I rarely if ever use the art museum myself...I'm anaware of any issues with it myself.
