Front Page Scroller

Since the new update, all the off topic stuff has started showing up on the main page topic scroller. I think this clutters it up for people who come here to just talk about SC. Why was this changed?

I assume dirk decided to open the home page up a little to off topic discussion as well as SC discussion since off topic is a very active area of ST now.

Because a lot of the veteran members are not here just for SC4 anymore...ST has evolved in to more of a community not only focusing on the game, but also on other topics...Smart move by dirk.

my only problem with the scroller is that I can no linger scroll it myself with the scroll wheel.

^ Same here. That's what I do all over the site.

I think dirk has done a great job with the front page and extras can be added to the front page, but I'm not sure if I agree about what your saying. The Off-Topic section has growing very fast... Someday, it could bypass the number of post in the CJ. Maybe...
