Prop and Texture file replacements

I am not a newbie but I never can remember things I shold know from all the time this game has been on my computer. 

If I have an old  BAT/ Lot that when made showed or included in the download a dependency Prop or Texture file and the Prop or Texture file that was subsquently consolidated Also I  have some BAT/Lots made elsewhere over the past several years that contain duplicates of files already on my computer..   If I eliminate the duplicate files will the game be able to find the Prop/Textureinto a Mega Prop/Texture file will the game fine the new (file incorporated in the Mega file) data. 

These are very basis and should be a "duh" obvious answer but I want to make sure.

You can safely delete any duplicates, since the game doesn't look at the file names, but only at the internal ID numbers.
