Fairlane500 wins on a technicality.  The answer is Leader of the Pack by the Shangri-Las.  Just to warn you that guessing the original artist guarantees victory.  Twisted Sister did cover the song, or remake it... I don't know for sure, but the Shangri-Las were first.
