Monorail over subway stations

Is there any way to get the monorail to run over existing subway stations. (Or plop subway stations under the monorail? Seems like there should be a way to do this. Maybe a mod out there? (I'm using NAM and most of the other "essential" ones. When I try to run the monorail over a station, it sez "cannot place on reserved tiles". If I try to put the subway station under the monorail, it either destroys the existing section of track, or won't plop because it's "already occupied".

best bet ...check the STEX for mutli use MT lots...try searches under the different typs of MT (bus, subway, rail...etc) there are quite a few lots (but their scattered here and there...bat mod section would be a suggestion too) that modder have combined the MT transit switches inside the lot...so it is transit enable for sims to switch from 1 MT type to another already

find one you like , and use the SC4tool to edit the stats to your liking...4.gif

I'm pretty sure there's at least one Monorail/Subway station out there on the STEX...

Do you like this?

Thanks, Tolomar. I hadn't thought about the multi-use lots. I've been trying to figure out how to use the SC4tool to edit. I can't seem to get the lots into the screens where I can edit them. They come up in the reference screens, but I can't get them over to where I can edit the stats. The tutorial says something about not being able to add lots yet, but I read in the forums where it seems to be done all the time. Tried copy and paste from the reference screens, but that doesn't seem to work.

well going from memory here...but I believe to edit a lot...you use the edit properties command. under the heading "Edit"...the Tool has several version...make sure you have the latest version to be able to edit lots too...as this option came later on...think the latest version is 2.7.7

once there you can edit the buildingds...the refrerance part doesn't allow editing...it's for viewing the originial Maxis buildings for their stats...4.gif

Thanks for the link Dark Jedi06! It actually solves a space issue as well. I don't have the latest SC4 tool. Gonna dl it and try some modding. Thanx, Tolomar. I was wondering why I couldn't get it to work.
