csl patch Update 1.1.0 Released - European buildings & tunnels
exterminatorss replied to Cyclone Boom's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
hi guys, I have one problem with this update and that is that i don't know how to get it?!? Seems kind of silly but i cannot find how to download or install it. Can someone please help me with that? thanks, -
Hello, I've searched the forum for a while to find an answer on my question/problem but did not find anything usefull yet. I have a region where there's one city with a big water pump which has plenty of spare capacity. In another city i did not place any pumps or water towers so i need to buy water from the first city. This works, but i can only import around 67k of water. If i need more it does not import it anymore... Nevertheless i still have plenty of water in the first city. The pump capacity is never used over 10%... Can anybody help me with this issue? Thanks a lot

Can't connect road to train station or boat service?
exterminatorss replied to m72's topic in SimCity (2013) Technical Help Q&A
Hi, It could also be because the road guides are 'on' I've also had problems connecting my road system to train stations, but on a flat terrain. When i disabled the road guides my road tool didn't snap to the proposed lines anymore which gave me the chance to connect exactly to the built-in road in the train station. Hope it works and hope you understand my confusing explanation -
Hi, The only thing i can think of is that the demand for executive and elite is too low. I don't remenber the exact 'in game' name for it, but at the top of your screen there are four buttons to check the status of each wealth class. If you click it you can see what is the demand for that whealth class. From 0% to 100%. If this drops below 50% then people from that whealth will stop coming to your city. This demand is a result of several factors, including unemployment for that class. As you say you have a lot of executives and elites, my guess is that you do not have enough jobs for them, resulting in high unemployment which results in low desireability for that type of houses... Hope it helps If you need tips to solve the problem, you can ask a new question greetz

Hi, Check your pollution as I guess it's too high for further residential development. Always try to put your polluting industry far away from residential areas and commercial office areas. If possible in an adjacent city. And when you put your industry far away, you can connect it with a highway. If you only connect it with this highway you can force your sims to use it because there is no other option. And I also agree that it is useless to put a highway around you city. Sims always use the shortest way to their work. If wou want to build a highway around your city because it looks nice, you should try to play with one-way roads to direct traffic to- and from the highway. But that will be complicated. And industry may not be developing because of lack of demand. You get demand by having enough population i think. And also neighbour connections help a lot. greetz

Hi, There is indeed a demand cap for highrise. I don't remember the exact number but i think it's higher than 3000. So you should increase your population first. If people don't want to come to your town you should build parks and stuff. What i do remeber is that a large plaza increases demand with 9000... Other parks and stuff have different demand cap reliefs... Hope that helps.. Hi, There is indeed a demand cap for highrise. I don't remember the exact number but i think it's higher than 3000. Sim City 4 HUGE city Metropolis
exterminatorss replied to simmy.uk's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
You can make your cities bigger if you want by trying to put as much as industry and low wealth commercial in neighbouring cities and putting all residential and high wealth commercial buildings in the city. I have several medium tiled cities of over 1mil people (even one with 1.2mill people) and with big tiles it even gets better >2.5mill people... -
Apart from all other things mentioned in previous posts it is also very important to have a lot of traffic along roads where you want commercial skyscrapers to pop up.

max pop for mid size city
exterminatorss replied to ianomami's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I have one region where i have multiple medium tiled cities with >1million population. The best i could do untill now is >1.2million on a medium tiled map. But it has been a while since i did that and i think i can do better now I'm now working on a big city tile which has 1.7million people, but it's a bit hard to play, because it takes a lot of time to load the city... -
Biggest Regional Population
exterminatorss replied to bharmala's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
It has been a while since i played the game, but i've been checking the forums regularly My biggest region is about 11mil people. In that region, i have medium cities of 1.2 million people. I mostly use the large tiles to put in my industry. If i build res and comm in a large tile city, my computer lags... i included some pictures of my largest region (11 million sims) -
