Be sure animation settings are all on and set high. This is pretty awesome! Great editing, and very detail-oriented. My kind of CJ; will keep an eye on it!

If you have Cities XL 2011, then neither v.3 of the Unlocker and the Sandbox mod are compatible (as far as I know); you'll have to remove them from your Paks folder.

Have you tried it with all mods except the No Pollution mod? Perhaps that was the trouble to begin with?

Retail goods are far too hard to sell. Decrease production ???

sauced - Three things here: 1. Max image size is 800x600 px. 2. Please refrain from double-posting; use the "Edit" button instead to add on to a post you've already made. 3. Don't dig up old topics. This thread is almost a year old, and the problem addressed refers to a glitch in original version of CXL directly after release. Not only has a successor for Cities XL 09 been released since then, but this particular problem was actually alleviated in a patch; the problem is therefore irrelevant. I invite you to look over the [forum rules] here in order to get the most out of Simtropolis. As for this topic...thread locked. -
Important: Will CXL 2009 cities transfer without problems to CXL 2011?
masochist replied to jazyje's topic in Cities XXL
If you're having problems importing/playing your cities from '09, my suggestion would be to copy the city files and create a perfect copy of it in 2009 (using [this] tutorial), then go into the newly copied city and delete all of the modded items (plazas, trees, farms, etc.). Then import the now-mod-free city into 2011 and refill all of that stuff with standard 2011 stuff. Just a suggestion. Or you can simply wait for the mods to be updated and import your city whole -
Actually, according to some posts on the CXL website, they do . I don't have 2011 yet (because of purchase complications), but I've heard that most mods that were available with CXL '09 also work with 2011.

Download other peoples' cities made in Cities XL?
masochist replied to bowserchomp's topic in Cities XXL
Seeing other people's cities was one of the best things about Planet Offer. You can, in fact, easily add in a city to the game that wasn't there before (so long as you can see your hidden files and folders), it's simply a matter of getting a website to host those cities. And also, as others have said, the dependencies (because a CTD will occur if you try and load a city with, say, extra plazas and you don't have those plazas ). -
First day of playing CitiesXL 2011 - The Trains System is not what I expected
masochist replied to Boris M's topic in Cities XXL
Originally posted by: Bobafett13jw Would anyone know why it's not available on Steam for download? I bought Citiesxl 09 on steam, so I expect to get the half-price version. quote> You can only get the half-priced version of CXL 2011 from the official website (as far as I know), and only if you have your CXL '09 key. I imagine they did it this way simply to make sure no one used the same key twice to purchase the game half-off (it'd be a lot harder to manage which keys had been used if they'd used more than one store). That being said, you can grab your '09 key from your Steam client. EDIT: Hmmm...according to one of the admins on the official website, you'll be able to get the discount on Steam, as well. Originally posted by: bluespottedhorse Dear tankus, If money is not an issue for you then rush out and buy it. But if it's not up to your expectations then don't blame anyone but yourself. If your paying attention to the forums and what's being said, then you should be noticing that many people are not happy with 2011. The rule of thumb I follow is never, NEVER, buy the first production run of anything...cars, iphones, games, etc, etc. Let the smoke clear and after the lemmings have finished stampeding, then make your move, whatever that may be. quote> See, the vibe I'm getting from the forums is that while 2011 doesn't make any grand changes beyond Subways and atmospheric sights and sounds, the little things it improved or changed together add up to make it worth it, especially at a 50% rate. Of course...that may just be me. -
A great city building game!
masochist replied to bluespottedhorse's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Looks like you're looking more for a no-limits city simulator as opposed to a city simulator game. There are a few of those on the market already, if you're willing to drop a few grand on it. -
Originally posted by: Lakenstaken This is ridiculous, I just woke up to find out I havent got my activation code... YET! Bought it yesterday, It's been 12 hours. If this is how they threat customers, thats just low.quote> The game's official release date is today, so you'll get it soon (it's not even unlocked on Steam yet). I suspect they allowed some folks to download sooner to pre-emptively relieve server stress.

I don't think it's a city building game, I think it's a city management game (using a pre-built city and solving the problems therein). Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

It's not the video card, it's the amount of processes that a huge city has to calculate: this building growing here will generate this amount of jobs and cause this amount of traffic on this, this and this street and decrease demand this much and require this many more sims to move and will get rid of this many jobs; this school will provide this much increase in EQ which will attract this many highly-educated sims which will increase demand for $$$-buildings which will then...see what I mean? It can really slow even a high-end computer down to have a full large city with all those people and all those calculations to be made. Imagine having 100x that much room in a city and filling it up...it'd take a real-life month to get through a game month (exaggerating, of course, but you get the idea).

This is an annual list, and so inevitably, an annual topic. This year, the list is topped once again by Vienna, Austria. Here's the full list: [World's 10 Best Places To Live] 1. Vienna, Austria 2. Zurich, Switzerland 3. Geneva, Switzerland T-4. Auckland, New Zealand T-5. Vancouver, Canada ...and for the record: 31. Honolulu, HI (first US city) Thoughts and opinions?

Yeah...beta's officially over. Hence why we can talk about it
-
Memory leak is fixed, as is that incessant cl-cl-clclcl-cl-clicking. And yes, Focus definitely intends to continue development on this game, that much I gathered from the beta.

Originally posted by: mr. d if you've purchaced citiesxl (the 2009 version) are they gonna charge full price for 2011?quote> That we don't know. We only tested the game; I imagine Focus is still figuring out exactly how to approach that particular issue, but we'll all find out at the same time when they do.

I think GlobexCo was talking about FREIGHT trains. Focus Home said nothing about freight trains, only subways.

A Florida pastor wants burn the koran on 9/11 to remember the victims of disaster
masochist replied to fabricio83tst's topic in Current Events
About as "right" as the Westboro Baptist Church is going to funerals and spouting words of hate. Why target Islam specifically? Have they melted down Buddhist statues? Have they burned teachings by Confucius? Have they broken statues of the Virgin Mary? I don't think they have, which makes me think this isn't simply a "Christian Mission" thing. I don't see the point other than to spread hate, and even though they say they only hate the religion and not the people who practice it, I can't find any reason to believe them.
