  1. Sudden hole in region

Thanks for all the input. Also, thanks for the reminder! I do have backups of the city, so hardly anything was lost. I backup my files on a weekly (or so) basis.
  2. Sudden hole in region

It seems replacing the corrupt file with a copy of a new city, with a renamed file name the same as the corrupt one did the trick. I thought I'd leave this up though, in case anyone else ever runs into a similar bug, or if anyone knows *why* this would happen.
  3. I ran into some trouble during a recent save and exit to region. It was taking quite awhile, which wasn't usual especially for a small city like this. During the save, I minimized to windows, came back 30 seconds later, and the process was done, I was back into the region view. The problem however, was that the city wasn't there. It wasn't just a blank tile, there's actually a hole in the region. The attached image illustrates this. After importing the city into another test region, it imported the hole as well. The config.bmp file looks normal, as it always has, there's just no way to edit the empty square. I figure the save curopted somehow, and I will re-start the city (which is no big deal), if I can just figure out how to. I don't understand how a currupt save would override the config.bmp. Has anyone ever ran into this problem? SimCity 4 Rush Hour Windows Vista 64bit 8Gb RAM 2.83Ghz Quad-Core GeForce 9800GTx
  4. Possibly a graphics problem?

Graphics settings would only turn down the amount of props, not actual buildings.quote> The steps in the guide deal with deleting the landmarks that are growing on the wrong sized lots. After checking the lists there carfully, I have none of the problematic buildings mentioned. My problem is buildings that had previously been shown just fine - the Boutiques for example - are no longer being shown. This is a standard SimCity building. It's also interesting that this is only happening in one city in the region, not everywhere.

  6. I have a problem with buildings not appearing. The ground textures will show up, but the buildings don't. The following screen shots are what I get: You can see that some buildings show up, other do not, just the ground textures. Here is the only shot I had taken of the city before the problem occured: And here is a similar shot. Some of the buildings have changed of course, but as you can see, the ones not appearing are standard buildings that have grown naturally, not anything downloaded or plopped. I am using Sim City Deluxe on a Mac Powerbook, 1.67GHz G4, with 1 gig of RAM. I removed all the plug-ins I had installed recently, as well as put back the one I removed, and it had no effect. Has anyone else seen this before? Thanks.
  7. Can't Find It? Ask Here!

I'm curious as to where I find BSC texture packs for a mac? All I can find are .exe files.
  8. Money Plant V2

It doesn't give me $100,000 a month... it COSTS me $100,000 a month. Pricey little building
