  1. New DLC, official info

I visit the USA frequently to shop but I'm from Canada. I'm wondering if the fine print from the promotion that state the offer is available for USA players only means that someone with a copy registered to another country other than USA might not be able to use the codes.
  2. SimCity coming to Console?

Yup, seems odd too if they had this promotion in the works before the decided to close down Playfish they would pair it with The Sims Social rather than Sim City Social, which is also being closed.
  3. SimCity coming to Console?

Why is EA bothering to to give out redeem codes for a game they're closing in two months...
  4. All Commercial Zones Turned into Hotels?

Yeah I accepted it as bug that all commercial zones will start to turn into a hotels once you place any tourist attraction, even down to the tiny square plots. You can try to bulldoze them and try to get a store, but most of the times it's another hotel that just gets abandoned.
  5. radioactivity (RA)

Go around the radioactive area with the dezone tool and hold down ctrl to dezone blocks at a time.
  6. Regional Population Not Updating

Prolly has something to do with the leader boards being disabled at the moment.
  7. Patch Today?

Since the patch on Tuesday at least 3 my cities never load or rollback properly.
  8. Trading Within The Region

I'm not sure how trading can be a specialization on its own considering the fluctuations in prices don't vary day to day in game. I've always built the Trading HQ in addition to the Metals/Oil/Electronics HQs so you can build the Trade Depot with the Commerce Division and not worry about the Trading HQ after that. While you can specialize two neighboring cities in mining / smelting and electronics there's now way to directly setup an automated supply chain. I simply just set one city to import alloy/plastic and the other to export.
  9. They won't optimally fit inside the default grid lines for streets so I usually place them on avenues which have deeper blocks behind them if you are following the grid lines.
  10. It's just another option for you to choose when you upgrade your university and plop another building. I assume it raises C$, C$$, and C$$$ tax revenue. I chose it out of lack of any other variety left in my region.
  11. Streets around Events Center and Pro Stadium

At least with the train station and dock you can delete portions of the road without deleting the station. The stadium you are stuck with the useless roads around 3 sides.
  12. Service Roads

Nope.. trucks only use the highway connection.
  13. Streets around Events Center and Pro Stadium

So reconfigure even more of your city's layout just to fit these huge buildings? oO
  14. Does anyone else hate the pre-built streets that come built around the events center and stadium? They are difficult to match up to my existing roads system leading to mismatched intersections and you can't zone or plop anything connected to them leading to unnecessary parallel roads. If the developers wanted to connect the parking lots to the front road, they should have just made more parking garages. For the sake of two small parking lots beside the Pro Stadium the streets that take up more than 5 times the space around the stadium it's really not worth it.
  15. Germs

Considering the small city sizes and worker education levels in Nuclear Power Plants randomly dropping to unsafe even when you have a high school and community college I think there should be some way to actively mediate polluted and places affected by minor radiation. I've had several plants placed in corners of the city randomly go to an unsafe worker education level and start to meltdown. Even when I have turned them off at the warning, it still has affected literally 10% - 15% of your whole map with levels of radiation.. How is our fault the game engine simplifies things so much that one person can be an insurance salesman one day and the next morning he goes to work running a nuclear reactor?
