They lived there peacefully with a small majority of Jews and Christians alike. Well people as you know sc4 has been displayed distorted and the game ran very slow (lag) with the ATI HD4800 series graphcards, even though we have the state of the art pc and processor. I got a notice today that ATI released new drivers for the ATI HD4800 series, in my case the radeon HD4850. I downloaded the new drivers allong with a renewed catalist controllcenter. And you know what, its as if ATI heard all our wishes for a decent functioning 5 year old favorite game of ours. As soon as the update was complete i started SC4 and it works like a charm! No more distortions, no more stupid crashes and far less lag! So my advice to all of you obviously, get your new drivers ASAP, and enjoy city building once more http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

Its the graphcard. I have the same system config, the same lag and even some graphics distortions in the game. There is a topic on the graphicscard problems on the site somewhere. Check it out, but there doesnt seem to be any real sollution yet.

Interesting topic with interesting reactions I must say. An observation from me if I may be so blunt is that many of you here don't really ad thegeographical, cultural or historical items on the topic. Allow me to explain. (Rome for instance) The capitolcity was and is the largest and most sophisticated city in that country. (Paris for instance) The capitolcity was and is a centre of wealth, knowledge and investment. (London for instance) The capitolcity was and is located on a strategic location for defence, transport, important resource and/or fertile soil. (Cairo for instance) The capitolcity was and is a place of great religious importance (Jerusalem for instance) Now we can see that many cities in the world have some of the traits explained just now but can you think of a city which has them all? I think that city is ISTANBUL. Because; Istanbul has been the birth place of the Greek, East Roman, Byzantine and Osman World empires as well as the current Republic of Turkey. Istanbul is a city of about 12.5 milion inhabitants (which is larger than London and Paris) with a very young population and houses many important buildings like the former royal palaces, galata tower, maiden tower and international award winning modern architecture. Istanbul has 21 universities has a capita of 21 000 dollars and atracts investments of up to 12 bilion dollars a year. Istanbul is the only city in the world located on 2 continents (for those who dont know which continents...GOOGLE ***** , has direct ports to the black sea, sea of marmara and mediteranian sea's, is a major hub for oil and gas trade with multiple lines coming together in Istanbul and has the largest forrests in eastern Europe, not to mention the importance of the silk road which came together here a few hundred years ago. Istanbul is the centre of the orthodox church, 2nd import city for other christian churches and the 4th important city of the worlds largest religion: Islam after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. So if you take a good look at your roots, trade, religion and your culture and other aspects of your life, one way or another Istanbul has influenced atleast 70% of the worlds population...
