There is a set of triangle-shaped twin towers downtown not far from the Library Tower, and I was wondering what they are called. rubik: I've been a Simtropolis member for almost six months and didn't post much on the forum until I heard of the World Trade Center project, which got me very excited. I designed lots for a while last year (Equinox was always an enthusiastic supporter; thanks again for your encouragement!) but lately my muse has been silent, so for now I'm enjoying the excellent work from talented designers like yourself, and will try to be here for the foreseeable future to help where I can. As for the prop pack, that's a great idea. In addition to memorials, you could also include other kinds of props to enliven the lot, such as food kiosks for the plaza, or even fun props that touch on many people's fondest memories of the towers (Philippe Petit's tightrope walk, George Willig's south tower climb, etc.).

Today is the 11-year anniversary of the 1993 bombing at the World Trade Center, which marked the first time that America had been attacked on its own soil by foreign terrorists. I'm reminded that in 1995, a memorial fountain in an approximately 30-ft by 30-ft space was installed on the grounds of the trade center in an alcove between the Marriott hotel and the north tower. It commemorated the six people who died in the attack. rubik, you might choose to leave it out of the lot so as to capture the spirit of the World Trade Center at a time before terror struck at all, but in case you decide to include the fountain, below are some pictures and here is a panorama in which it can be seen from a distance (zoom in with A). Also, here is a site with more information on the memorial fountain from its sculptor. I think this has been requested before, but how about New York City's World Financial Center? It's a complex of skyscrapers recognized by many because it stands in front of the World Trade Center site. rubik, one more small observation is that the incline at the top of the original towers was such that, at each corner, it formed a triangle rather than a trapezoid. This picture shows what I mean. It's a minor detail, but one I thought you might want to know about for the sake of accuracy when it comes to the towers' general design.
